Over it’s Banks

Flood Level

The Ohio River rose to six feet above flood stage this past week. Louisville is no stranger to the river over reaching it’s banks, but it can make for some interesting photo opportunities.

2nd Street Bridge

The second street bridge stretches over the river. The pylons mark the boarder of the walkway that is currently underwater.

No Parking

Fairly obvious while the river is past flood stage, but you can normally drive a vehicle on the wharf.

Old Coast Guard Post

The historic Coast Guard station in Louisville. Moored next to the Belle of Louisville paddle wheel steam boat, they both can rise with the whim of the river.
