MMX 003Joel Neild photographing under the name Falls City Photography has been interested in photography since his very first Kodak Disk camera when he was young. Joel has served as a photo assistant, and consumer shop manager for a Louisville, KY photographer. He was also the person in charge of hand developing and printing the black & white films.

Joel began his working career in theater as a lighting designer and technician. Creating emotion using light on the stage translates well to photography.

    I am really enjoying your work and wonder if you might be able to help me. I’m co-chair of the group “Save Hogan’s Fountain Pavilion” which is working to keep the large teepee structure in Cherokee Park from being demolished (as called for in the Metro Parks Master Plan). I am trying to find old photos of the pavilion itself or the surrounding area. If you have any that you would be willing to share with us, please let me know. If you allow us to use any, we will, of course, give you credit.
